What is it?

The Great Weather Lottery is a nationwide lottery which runs each weekday. The lottery is run for specific organisations, with those organisations benefiting directly from sales. The scheme has been running since 1998 and is run by sports clubs, schools, charities and other organisations up and down the country – Leeds United Football Club, Everton and Nottingham Forest to name but a few. The Helsby Rugby Club Great Weather Lottery is now up and running and more than a third of all lottery sales will now come back directly to our club to aid us in our work.

How to play

The Lottery is really fun to play. Simply select six single lucky numbers (between 0-9) to play in our daily game (5 days a week, Monday – Friday).

Every day we will take the last digit of the recorded temperature (in Fahrenheit) as reported in the Daily Telegraph for six locations and scan all the entries to see who has won! You can check your numbers daily through The Daily Telegraph.

Corfu 93 Istanbul 84 Tenerife 90 Innsbruck 70 Edinburgh 55 Stockholm 61

The £10,000 winning combination is: 340051
So if you pick numbers: 340051
THEN YOU MATCH 6 AND WIN £10,000

Other benefits…

  • All administration (processing applications, checking winning lines, paying out winnings) is done for us.
  • Players must pay by either Standing Order or cheque for a minimum of 13 weeks at a time, so there’s no need to be selling tickets every week.
  • There is obviously a lot of ill-feeling about the National Lottery at present because of how the proceeds are being distributed to “charities”. Local people may be more than willing to support a local lottery, knowing that the proceeds are going to stay local!
